Dr. Mike Grenfell & myself visited Ken Pledge at his home, not too far from East Finchley tube station. Ken met JGB in June 1960, a meeting that redirected Ken’s life. Ken lives in the house where he was born, surrounded by books & papers; no television; an old computer that is pre-online; an ongoing engagement with JGB’s work & an authority on it.
